At the end of the point
Most homes on Lake Hamilton look across a cove at the neighbors. Hamilton Lodge sits at the tip of a quiet peninsula and faces one of the widest stretches of open water on the lake, with Electric Island and Mount Riante on the horizon.
The house faces south, so you get sunrise and sunset over the water. Inside, the living room, dining table and kitchen share one long room with a wall of windows. Outside, a few steps take you to the hot tub, the fire pit, or down to your own covered boat slip.

Where everyone sleeps
Four king suites, each with its own bathroom, smart TV, ceiling fan and sitting area. Two are upstairs and two are down, so couples get real privacy. Kids and friends take the bunk room.

King bed, lake and mountain views, walk-in waterfall shower with bench, bidet, desk, and its own door to the upper deck.

Bunk room

Down at the water
The house steps down the hill in three levels of decks, ending at a private dock on the open lake.

A kitchen built for a crowd
A 48-inch six-burner gas cooktop with griddle, double ovens, two refrigerators and a walk-in pantry, so two families can cook at once without getting in each other's way. Grocery delivery reaches the house.
The drink station has a Keurig, a separate drink fridge that runs extra cold, and one of the house's four ice makers. There are frozen mugs waiting in the freezer.
Room to spread out
A long living room with a large smart TV and seating for the whole group, plus a cabinet full of games, puzzles, cards and poker chips.
A tankless water heater means the last person in the shower still gets hot water. Every bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and plenty of towels, and there are beach towels for the dock.
In town for a wedding at Anthony Chapel?
Hamilton Lodge is about 400 yards from Garvan Woodland Gardens as the crow flies. Bride's families, groom's families and wedding guests have all stayed here, and many stay the whole week.
From Thanksgiving through December, while the Gardens run their holiday light show, the house is decorated for Christmas with a tree and hot chocolate waiting.
About a ten-minute walk to the garden gates, or a couple of minutes by car.

Good to know
Hamilton Lodge is in a quiet neighborhood of year-round residents, and these rules keep it that way.
- Families and guests 25 and over. No student groups or parties.
- Six cars at most. There's no street parking. If you're bringing a boat, message David first; the road in is one lane.
- Quiet hours 10pm to 10am. Outdoor lights go down after 10 to keep the stars bright.
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, including the dock and driveway.
- No glitter or confetti, please. Celebrate any other way you like.
